Was it last year, when I told Ryan I wouldn't be happy unless I dropped out of society?
Was it the year before that, when the far, far too early passing of so many friends and family members forced us to accept the limitations of mortality?
Or is it really like the legend I like to tell when it comes up... "Well, on our third date, we talked about how cool it would be to travel the country in a VW Van, so here we are!"
